Gateau Breton


Also known as Quatre-Quarts, this is from my French Club days in college …

Beat together in a bowl 1/2 c. sugar with either 2 large eggs or 3 small ones, until the mixture becomes white and frothy.

Add 1 c. sifted flour, then 1/2 c. melted butter; pour into a buttered mold and bake at 350 degrees F (175 C) for 25-30 minutes.
