Hamburger Casserole


3 medium carrots, sliced
2 large potatoes, sliced
1 can peas, drained
1/2 small onion, diced
1 1/2 lbs. ground beef or turkey, browned
2 stalks celery, chopped
1 can tomato soup mixed with 1 can water
Salt, pepper, and oregano to taste

Place layers of vegetables in order given into crockpot.  Season with salt and pepper.  Put the browned meat on top.  Pour the soup and water mixture over all.  Cover the crockpot; cook for 6-8 hours on low or 2-4 hours on high.  (This recipe can also be put into a casserole dish and baked in the oven for several hours at 300 degrees).  Stir to mix before serving.
