Jessie’s Chocolate Chip Cookies


Jessie and her classmates made this recipe in school in the fall of 1999. 

1 stick margarine
1 egg
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. granulated sugar
1/4 c. brown sugar
1 1/4 c. + 2 tbsp. flour
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. chocolate chips

Preheat oven to 375 degrees. 

In a large bowl, mix the margarine, egg, and vanilla.  Add sugars and mix well. 

In a separate bowl, mix the flour, baking soda, and salt.  Gradually add the flour mixture to the sugar mixture, mixing well.  Stir in chocolate chips.

Drop dough onto cookie sheets.  Bake 8-10 minutes until lightly browned, then let cool.
