Potato Baking Bag

Received this from Mike and Deb for Christmas 2010; looks like it’s pretty versatile, I look forward to trying it for a number of uses.

To bake potatoes:

  • Wash and dry potatoes; do not prick or cut them
  • Place potatoes in bag
  • Microwave for 4 minutes
    • If more cooking is needed, add time in 1 minute increments
  • When serving, insert a fork into the potato and twist; the potato will open like a flower, with dry firm skin and white, fluffy meat

Other uses:

  • Sweet corn – cut off silk on top, but leave corn in the husk.  Place corn in bag and microwave 5-6 minutes
  • Stale bread and rolls – place in bag, and cook for 10-15 seconds
  • Flour tortillas – place up to 8 tortillas in the bag and cook for 30 seconds
